Thanks to everyone for the feedback about programming adjustments to be able to serve you better! After lots of discussion, work and final adjustments, we are thrilled to offer you lots of great new stuff! Please note that we are relying on you to sign up for the programming, and bring your friends, to keep it alive. We can keep it on the calendar for a period as things gather momentum but if it goes unattended for a few times, it will fall off.
We worked very hard to keep all or most of what seems popular with members, while adding in all kinds of new level based play, competitive events (i.e. king of the court), instruction, fitness and more. In an effort to make it as easy as possible for you to view and digest, we have posted all 7 days of the schedule, in static form, on the website here : https://www.pickleballclub.house/schedule . You will start to see some of these changes in court reserve as soon as today - where we can fit them in. The complete rollout will happen in 14 days once we are clear of any existing reservations that might conflict. Here are some highlights of what's changing:
Open Play: All Levels
-This event exists primarily for members, as a way to play, included in the cost of your membership. We've heard feedback that it can be tough for members to make use of this included event so we are making the following changes.
1. We will no longer allow visitors (or guests) to grab these spots until we get into their 5 day booking window, to hold them for members. If you have someone you want to bring as your guest, that's great, but they will need to be signed up in the parallel event "Drop-In Open Play: All levels". If it's more than 5 days out, you will need to message us to sign your guest up manually 872-314-2255. If it's within the 5 day booking window, they can register themselves into "Drop-In Open Play: All levels" and join you in "Open Play: All Levels"
2. The maximum of 4 standing registrations, rolling, is now in effect
*Note please that we have been struggling a little with the early AM (7-9) time slot but we still think there is a group out there that wants this! Come, and bring your fellow member or guest. Help us get this rolling please so it can stay on the calendar.
Drop-In Open Play: Beginner 2.0-2.9, Intermediate 3.0-3.7 and Advanced 3.8+
-These additional events will be added to the calendar on weekdays and weekends. This is the same format as the Drop-In Open Play: All levels but, based on lots of feedback, offers only 6 per court allowed (less waiting) and the opportunity to reliably play with others at your level. These events will not require a DUPR or club rating, however, we encourage players to try to sign up at their estimated level, to maintain the integrity of play.
-The Skill Based Play, requiring a DUPR or club rating at the Advanced 4.0+ and Expert 4.5+ levels will still be offered also and we have flip flopped the days and times to accommodate a later start at least one of the days.
Competitive Play
Showing up and paddling up with the group is great but there's nothing like a little competition to bring out the best in all of us.
-Ladder League: as you may know, we offered one on 3/16 that sold out: 7 courts, 28 players, playing to win bragging rights and to play for free! Stay tuned for details on the next one, likely April 4.
-King of the Court: keep winning, move up, and keep playing and the overall winner plays for free!
*note: these types of events require an exact 4 per court so if you sign up, please show up.
Women Only Events
Sometimes the ladies like to just play with the ladies and we get it. We have added a Queen of the Court event on Friday morning and a Skill Based Play on Sunday.
Fitness
-We will be offering pickleball fitness classes 7 days/week. Circuit Training on Tuesday and Thursday mornings led by our own Christy Sears and Cardio Pickleball, mornings and evenings through the week. Classes were scheduled such that you can attend an open play or skill based event either right before or right after.
Instruction
-We have 5 of the very best, Racquet Professional Organization certified, pickleball instructors on staff at the Clubhouse: Kris Lester, Leilani Palafox, Tonya Joly, Nate Guy and our Director, CJ Robertson https://www.pickleballclub.house/instructors . This team will be offering you instruction in 2 ways and we have tried to schedule the instructional clinics so that you can attend an open play or skill based event either right before or right after an instructional clinic.
-Drop In, one off type clinics: drill & play, play with the pro, etc. to brush up skills. This is an inexpensive way to get access to high level skill and match play coaching.
-Academy packages, Purchased at a discounted price, in bundles of 4, and on a recurring 4 week schedule, you can come to these each week, or skip weeks until you complete all 4, and start again. Here are the details for the 3 levels of academy instruction.

-Youth Instruction: ages 10-15 are invited for our youth Academy, so spread the word! Tuesdays and Thursday from 5-6 PM 1 of 4 sessions in the youth academy will run on a recurring schedule. Older youth and more advanced players are welcome to attend the other instructional clinics.
